Beautiful Bride and Photographer Misty Miotto

We had the great pleasure of working on one of our brides, Ashley Burnetti.  We met her over a year ago when she was a bridesmaid for one of the brides we were working on.  She had the great fortune of meeting her future husband, who was also a groomsman, at this wedding.  She was so happy with her hair and makeup that day, that when she got engaged she contacted us and hired us to do her hair and makeup.  She was so comfortable with us and knew that we would make her look like a movie star... in fact, so comfortable, that she gave Ana free reign to use her artistic ability however she wished! The result was absolutely exquisite and she was over the top with joy on how she looked; and of course, our reward is seeing how thrilled she was by how she looked.

Ashley also hired, photographer, Misty Miotto.  Misty is an amazing photographer as you will see in the pictures below.  She shares the same vision as we do and has an awe-inspiring eye to capture the look that women only dream about having.  We work very well together and collaborate in creating this "dream team look" that has brides buzzing about us.

We have known Misty over the years and we HIGHLY recommend her to all of our brides.  We are proud to call Misty Miotto our good friend and we are proud to showcase her amazing talent throug her lens and work.

Here is a little biography on our good friend, Misty Miotto:

10 Things about me!

I love my family more then anything on this Earth.  I am constantly working on myself and trying to build a better relationship with God.  I'm a dog lover but only for little ones that weigh under 10lbs :0)  My mom is my best friend.  I am happiest when I am cuddling in bed with my little girls or playing dress up with them.     I feel lost without my camera and recently had to make myself put it down and learn to be on the other side of the camera (In the actual pictures) so that my children will know that they had a mom when they grow up :0).  I love to read but have never read a fiction book in my life.  It sometimes takes me two hours to get ready especially if I am going on a date with the handsome hubby whom I love more then I ever thought possible.  I cry at movies often ...not bragging just the truth sometimes even at commercials I thought they were going to make me leave the theatre when I saw the trailor for the movie "Blind Side".   I wish that there were more hours in a day and besides photography my biggest passion and purpose in the world is working with abused, homeless and neglected Children.

Disney Dream Gig

Recently, Laine Smart, from Beaute Speciale traveled abroad to Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain to work on a gig for the Disney's brand new cruise ship - The Disney Dream.  As it traveled over from Spain to Port Canaveral she worked on several marketing shoots.

Then later two more of our artists, Carrie Brown and Jackie Morton, boarded the Disney Dream to Castaway Cay to work on more marketing projects.

And today we learned that Ana Rivera will be going on board next week to work on Travel Channel's Samantha Brown as her personal makeup artist.  Ana worked on her two years ago and Samantha is requesting her again!  Rosie Torres will be going as well to work on 'The View' as Whoopi Goldberg's personal makeup artist.

This is already looking like a busy year for us, and we are very much looking forward to it!  We'll keep you posted with photos when we get back!

Beaute-ful Holiday Looks No. 5

Happy New Year to all of you!!!

Here's our 5th and final look for this holiday season. Begin the new year with a new look that will make jaws drop!

Our Beaute Speciale Artist, Rosie Torres, has created a look that will make you look amazing.

Here's how to achieve this look:

EYES:
1.  Use a base which is MAC untitled paint all over the lid up to the brow.
2.  Then use MAC Print eyeshadow in the crease using the blending brush 224 in a back and forth motion and then in circles at the edge of the eye.
3.  Use a smolder as a liner and then smudge up to the crease.
4.  Pack on MAC blacktied eyeshadow on the lid.
5.  Line the eyes with MAC blacktrack fluid liner with a 266 brush.
6.  Use a black eyeliner for the inner rim of the eyes to make it really smokey.
7.  Use MAC Shroom eyeshadow with a little of nylon right under the brow and in the inner part of the eye for the highlight.

Tip:  When applying makeup, I always start with the eyes first, especially when doing a smokey eyes because the eye shadow flakes everywhere and makes a mess.  You can use a wipe or Q-tip for clean up. I then do the concealer and foundation.

CHEEK:
1.  MAC Tenderling and a little bronzer around the hairline and jawline.

BROWS:
Don't forget to add some color to your brows or you will look washed out.  The 266 and a matte eyeshadow that matches your hair will be perfect.  Just follow the shape and use light strokes.

LASHES:
Time for mascara... Zoom Lash from MAC is great for a dramatic look and of course number 7's fake eyelashes are great as a finishing touch for your lashes.

LIPS:
If you are looking for red, red lips, use a Russian Red Matte lipstick.  It stays on and looks amazing.  But if you want red without being too much, try Chanel... they always have bold, but softer shades.

Colorful Photo Shoot: Different Looks, Same Model.

Photographer:  Diana Zalucky
Model:  Michelle Smits
Wardrobe Stylist:  Lori Loftis
Hair and Makeup: Ana Rivera (Beaute Speciale)

There's nothing better than working with a phenomenal team of artists to produce something amazing!  Of course, we also had a beautiful canvas to work on!  We met our model, Michelle Smits, while working on several Disney wedding production shoots.  We instantly felt a connection with her.  She is not only a lovely person with a beautiful personality, but she has a great attitude about everything all of the time... must be her Wisconsin blood!  We never actually took notice of how pretty she was until we saw her on 10-10-10 running around with all the rest of us and we ran into her.  Her hair was usually pinned in one of her creative buns she wears to work all the time, but on this particular day her hair was beautifully blown out straight and long and we took notice!  In fact, so much that she was Laine's last minute fill in model for our Veronica Lake YouTube hair video (our original model cancelled).  Then when photographer, Diana Zalucky, said that her model cancelled for this photo shoot we found ourselves needing another model with a pretty face and great hair and Michelle was the first person that came into our mind... and she was perfect!

Believe it or not, this was her first time modeling for a photo shoot ever and she was a total natural!  I knew she could pull it off and create a beautiful shoot.  Her self confidence and elegance radiated through each photo every time.  We enjoyed working on her so much that she has become Beaute Speciale's muse!  She is so easy to work with and flexible to whatever makeup and hair ideas we have in mind without ever questioning us and whenever we needed her.  We love her face somuch that don't be surprised if you see her when our makeup line comes out!
