Star Wars Themed Wedding

Bride:  Youapa Yang
Hair/Makeup by:  Ana Rivera (Beaute Speciale)
Photographer:  Randy Chapman
Wedding Coordinator:  Maxine Pollakis
Video: Starfruit Productions

We met our bride, Youapa Yang,  last year.  She was a referral from photographer, Randy Chapman.  After many discussions, visions, and a trial run of what she wanted we decided on a look that turned out amazing!  We were very glad we were able to be a part of her very special wedding day almost a year to the date.

She shared her video with us and we could not get over how great it all turned out. FYI... they are both big fans of Star Wars and when she described to us how they would play a role we could not imagine how it would look, but when we saw the video our mouths dropped to the ground on how great it all looked!

Happy 1 year Anniversery Youpa and Brian!

Beaute-ful Holiday Looks No. 4

Yet another beautiful look to try this winter. This look is for the sophisticated, sexy and sultry woman that has confidence.

Our Beaute Speciale artist, Jacqui gives you a look that will make heads turn.

This beautiful look is sophisticated yet sexy. It can work for an office party, family gathering or a night out on the town. For my Make-up look I chose to do a very warm, golden eye with full lashes paired with a soft red lip and a peachy cheek. For the hair I chose a soultry 1920’s finger wave up-do. It has been very popular with celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Christina Aguilera, and Halle berry. Pairing the look with this red dress and beautiful green shoes by designer Bottega Veneta and chunky pearl earrings adds such a festive feel to it, that will tie in the holiday season.

Here's how to achieve this look:

EYES:
1.  Start off with MAC paints "canvas".
2.  Lightly apply MAC shadow "rice paper" over the lids.
3.  With a fluff brush go into the crease of the eye with the MAC shadow "Amber lights".
4.  Blend both shadows with MAC shadow "honey lust".
5.  Apply Bobbie Brown shadow "snow" on brow bone.
6.  With an angle brush line the bottom lashes with MAC shadow "amber lights" and blend with a rich brown at the outer corner.
7.  Line top of the eyelid with a black liquid liner.
8.  Apply mascara on top and bottom lashes.

CHEEK:
1.  Bronze cheeks with favorite golden bronzer.
2.  Lightly go over apples of cheeks with NARS "desire".
3.  Highlight the cheekbone with MAC mineralize skin finish "soft and gentle".

LIPS:
1.  Apply Revon "red" on the outer corners of the lips.
2.  Apply a  frosty lipgloss on the middle of the lips and blend from the outer corner of the lips into the middle.

We'll keep the looks coming if you'll send us your photos of each look that you've tried. Comment below and ask our artist questions.. We're happy to answer them.

Photographer: Michael Cairns

Another business professional we enjoy working with is photographer, Michael Cairns.  Michael  is an Orlando based entertainment photographer with over 20 years of experience in the business. He photographs a large variety of clientele, from celebrities to business professionals.  He also photographs everything from CD covers, to headshots and publicity shoots, and magazine advertisements as well... basically, everything under the sun.

You can view his company website at :  http://www.wetorangestudio.com/

Michael is very well known in our industry. We met him about 8 or 9 years ago when a few of us artists worked for MAC Cosmetics. He shoots the Orlando Magic cheerleaders and MAC was a local sponsor. During that particular shoot, we went to his studio to work on the girls and that was the beginning of our business relationship.  Throughout the years we ran in to each other on various jobs and we soon began working with him and his clientele on a regular basis.

The picture below was for a shoot for a local band called Love Struck Robot.  It was for their new CD cover.  It was great to meet the guys and it was a very fun shoot. Their music has a Maroon 5 sound which we loved! The lead singer Chase loved the makeup artist's scarf so much that he asked to borrow her blue scarf and her aviators for the cover. Louis Vuitton would be proud!
Thanks for making it a great shoot and we wish you much success! We'll be the first ones buying your cd when it comes out!!

Beaute-ful Holiday Looks No. 2

As we continue to give you looks to try this holiday season here's a fun and funky look that will make heads turn. Our Beaute Speciale artist Alexie has styled the look from head to toe making sure you start the new year stylish.

The Smokey Eye is one of the most popular makeup looks created and worn by celebrities. It allows for a mysteriously sexy look and is great for evening makeup. I have created my look based off the Smokey eye with a touch of color. You can do a Smokey eye with any deep colors you choose as long as you have the basic black and grey colors in there too. I chose to do a midnight blue color scheme inspired by New Years Eve. This royal blue color is really in for this season from clothes, shoes and makeup on the runway, it’s everywhere. Start the New Year with a stylish affair!

 [ Step-by-Step to get this Look ]
Foundation:
Lancôme Tient Idole 14 hour wear foundation buffed on the skin for a nice even finish.
Lancôme Dual Finish pressed powder applied with a blush brush for a nice light smooth coverage.
Lancôme Bronze Soleil bronzer dusted on the cheek bones, center of your nose, corners of forehead and chin.
Eyes:
Urban Decay Eye shadow Primer Potion in Champagne shimmer. This neutralizes the skin tone on your eyes and makes the eye shadow last longer.
Maybelline New York Color Plush Eye Shadow in Sapphire Siren which was featured in Cosmopolitan Magazine November 2010.
1.       Sweep the white shade from brow bone to the lash line to highlight the eye.
2.       Using the blue green shade to emphasize sweep from the eye’s inner corner to the center of your lid.
3.       To intensify your look use the dark blue color on the palette from the center of your eye to the outer corner and the bottom lash line.
4.       Last to add drama use the black eye shadow in a “V (<)” shape at the outer corner of your eye.
Urban Decay 24/7 glide on eye liner in bold blue along the top and bottom lash lines and Metallic White on the water line (the white eye liner opens up the eye).
Choose your favorite mascara and apply 2 coats for a more dramatic appearance.
Lips:
Lancôme Color Design Lipstick in Pale Lip
Le Lipstique Sheer Lip Liner in Natural Mauve.
You can add a shimmer or clear gloss in the center of your lips to create a luscious pout.

Beaute-ful Holiday Looks No. 1

We're pulling out all the stops this year and giving you all the trends and looks for this Holiday Season. Each week this month we'll be posting a new holiday look for you to try out.. from the office holiday party to getting a smooch at that New Years Bash.. You'll look amazing for each occasion.

Here's the first look from our Beaute Speciale Artist Laine Smart. This is a stand out look that will make heads turn.

With all the statement peices out there now, from jewelry to jackets, the freshest way to make a statement is with eyeliner! This trend is all over the red carpet, with everyone from Rhianna to Leighton Meester, as well as the runways, being spotted at shows from L.A.M.B to Jason Wu, in different variations. That is what makes this look so fun, its so customizable! You can get creative with it. Whatever color you prefer can be used to create this look. It can be a thin flash of color at the lash line, a thicker winged out liner, dropped liner, etc...just depending on how classic, trendy, or dramatic you want to make it. The key to making this look current is combining it with a warm, glowing, neutral face and soft peachy lips. This will keep your look chic, fresh, and clean, allowing your eyes to take the spotlight. This look is sure to make you stand out and shine for any holiday occasion you have coming up.
