Bride: Youapa Yang
Hair/Makeup by: Ana Rivera (Beaute Speciale)
Photographer: Randy Chapman
Wedding Coordinator: Maxine Pollakis

We met our bride, Youapa Yang, last year. She was a referral from photographer, Randy Chapman. After many discussions, visions, and a trial run of what she wanted we decided on a look that turned out amazing! We were very glad we were able to be a part of her very special wedding day almost a year to the date.
She shared her video with us and we could not get over how great it all turned out. FYI... they are both big fans of Star Wars and when she described to us how they would play a role we could not imagine how it would look, but when we saw the video our mouths dropped to the ground on how great it all looked!
Happy 1 year Anniversery Youpa and Brian!

Beaute-ful Holiday Looks No. 4
Yet another beautiful look to try this winter. This look is for the sophisticated, sexy and sultry woman that has confidence.
Our Beaute Speciale artist, Jacqui gives you a look that will make heads turn.
This beautiful look is sophisticated yet sexy. It can work for an office party, family gathering or a night out on the town. For my Make-up look I chose to do a very warm, golden eye with full lashes paired with a soft red lip and a peachy cheek. For the hair I chose a soultry 1920’s finger wave up-do. It has been very popular with celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Christina Aguilera, andHalle berry. Pairing the look with this red dress and beautiful green shoes by designer Bottega Veneta and chunky pearl earrings adds such a festive feel to it, that will tie in the holiday season.
Here's how to achieve this look:
EYES:
1. Start off with MAC paints "canvas".
2. Lightly apply MAC shadow "rice paper" over the lids.
3. With a fluff brush go into the crease of the eye with the MAC shadow "Amber lights".
4. Blend both shadows with MAC shadow "honey lust".
5. Apply Bobbie Brown shadow "snow" on brow bone.
6. With an angle brush line the bottom lashes with MAC shadow "amber lights" and blend with a rich brown at the outer corner.
7. Line top of the eyelid with a black liquid liner.
8. Apply mascara on top and bottom lashes.
CHEEK:
1. Bronze cheeks with favorite golden bronzer.
2. Lightly go over apples of cheeks with NARS "desire".
3. Highlight the cheekbone with MAC mineralize skin finish "soft and gentle".
LIPS:
1. Apply Revon "red" on the outer corners of the lips.
2. Apply a frosty lipgloss on the middle of the lips and blend from the outer corner of the lips into the middle.
We'll keep the looks coming if you'll send us your photos of each look that you've tried. Comment below and ask our artist questions.. We're happy to answer them.

Photographer: Michael Cairns
Another business professional we enjoy working with is photographer, Michael Cairns. Michael is an Orlando based entertainment photographer with over 20 years of experience in the business. He photographs a large variety of clientele, from celebrities to business professionals. He also photographs everything from CD covers, to headshots and publicity shoots, and magazine advertisements as well... basically, everything under the sun.
You can view his company website at : http://www.wetorangestudio.com/
Michael is very well known in our industry. We met him about 8 or 9 years ago when a few of us artists worked for MAC Cosmetics. He shoots the Orlando Magic cheerleaders and MAC was a local sponsor. During that particular shoot, we went to his studio to work on the girls and that was the beginning of our business relationship. Throughout the years we ran in to each other on various jobs and we soon began working with him and his clientele on a regular basis.
The picture below was for a shoot for a local band called Love Struck Robot. It was for their new CD cover. It was great to meet the guys and it was a very fun shoot. Their music has a Maroon 5 sound which we loved! The lead singer Chase loved the makeup artist's scarf so much that he asked to borrow her blue scarf and her aviators for the cover. Louis Vuitton would be proud!
Thanks for making it a great shoot and we wish you much success! We'll be the first ones buying your cd when it comes out!!

Beaute-ful Holiday Looks No. 2
As we continue to give you looks to try this holiday season here's a fun and funky look that will make heads turn. Our Beaute Speciale artist Alexie has styled the look from head to toe making sure you start the new year stylish.
The Smokey Eye is one of the most popular makeup looks created and worn by celebrities. It allows for a mysteriously sexy look and is great for evening makeup. I have created my look based off the Smokey eye with a touch of color. You can do a Smokey eye with any deep colors you choose as long as you have the basic black and grey colors in there too. I chose to do a midnight blue color scheme inspired by New Years Eve. This royal blue color is really in for this season from clothes, shoes and makeup on the runway, it’s everywhere. Start the New Year with a stylish affair!

Foundation:
Lancôme Tient Idole 14 hour wear foundation buffed on the skin for a nice even finish.
Lancôme Dual Finish pressed powder applied with a blush brush for a nice light smooth coverage.
Lancôme Bronze Soleil bronzer dusted on the cheek bones, center of your nose, corners of forehead and chin.
Eyes:
Urban Decay Eye shadow Primer Potion in Champagne shimmer. This neutralizes the skin tone on your eyes and makes the eye shadow last longer.
Maybelline New York Color Plush Eye Shadow in Sapphire Siren which was featured in Cosmopolitan Magazine November 2010.
1. Sweep the white shade from brow bone to the lash line to highlight the eye.
2. Using the blue green shade to emphasize sweep from the eye’s inner corner to the center of your lid.
3. To intensify your look use the dark blue color on the palette from the center of your eye to the outer corner and the bottom lash line.
4. Last to add drama use the black eye shadow in a “V (<)” shape at the outer corner of your eye.
Urban Decay 24/7 glide on eye liner in bold blue along the top and bottom lash lines and Metallic White on the water line (the white eye liner opens up the eye).
Choose your favorite mascara and apply 2 coats for a more dramatic appearance.
Lips:
Lancôme Color Design Lipstick in Pale Lip
Le Lipstique Sheer Lip Liner in Natural Mauve.
You can add a shimmer or clear gloss in the center of your lips to create a luscious pout.

It's in the lips!
I recently did an inspirational Marie-Antoinette photoshoot with photographer, Tab McClausland and model, Kaylie. For this particular look I was looking for the perfect pink lipstick. I found it in Givenchy Fantasy Pink Lipstick #23. It is the same lipstick that we saw model Molly Sims wearing in a magazine. It looked absolutely stunning on Kaylie - it was the perfect, fresh, bright, pink lipstick that added the finishing touch to the look we wanted to create. I loved it!
Below you can see the end result of the masterpiece.

The power of Make-up: MAC ME OVER!
Everyone these days wants a make-over or something to make them feel good. And being a beauty company we believe that when you look good you feel good. So with the launch of the MAC ME OVER! contest, thousands upon thousands have entered to win to be the face of MAC Cosmetics Make-up.
Beaute Speciale understand the power of make-up and the fact that this contest has so many people interested in being made over really puts power behind how important, relevant and apart of everyday life make-up really is.
The "MAC Me Over!" is actually a great contest that involves an average person being able to be the face of the cosmetic line. That is totally amazing, when has a make-up company ever turned the face of their company over to it's fans or it's make-up audience. Think about it you could be the face of a make-up line?
Check out the contest maybe one of our readers could be the face of the campaign. Good Luck!

HOT Pink!!!
Model: Tabitha McClausland
Photographer: Misty Miotto
Hair/Makeup by: Beaute Speciale
We met Tabitha through our photographer friend Misty Miotto. Misty asked us to help Tabitha with some fun and sexy work photos for her blog, Hot Pink Brides. Since hot pink is her favorite color and it is part of her whole image, we gave her a hot pink lip with some fun lashes and a nice retro black liquid liner. Tabitha had a photo of Kylie Minogue and Scarlet Johanson in her Dolce and Gabbana ads. She gave us some direction and told us to run with it... and we did! It was so much fun! Tabitha loved her look so much and said she never imagined she could ever look so sultry. That’s what we do best!
Hot Pink Brides Blog was started in 2009 by Tabitha McCausland. Tabitha has been in the wedding industry for over 10 years first as a coordinator then as a photographer. She started the blog to share experiences and help brides find inspiration and money saving tips. Since the start of the blog it has grown to over 27,000 unique visitors per month and has featured some of the best wedding photographers in the entire world.

Album Cover for Rising Country Music Artist: Jordan Anderson
We recently had the opportunity to do hair and makeup for rising country singer, Jordan Anderson. The picture below will be used as the cover to her upcoming album.
Before we begin our work we try and get a feel for the individual and make it a personal experience for them. We ask questions to learn what they like most. Jordan says she likes to wear eyeliner - so we keep that in mind as we create the final look.
The whole idea is not to make her up too much, but to enhance all that she is!
We wish you well Jordan as you pursue your career in the music industry!
You can learn more about Jordan Anderson at: www.myspace.com/jordananderson92

Behind-the-Scenes and Final Product
As a make-up artist we are always behind-the-scenes and are on set for the making of movies, productions and photo shoots and most times, we aren't privy to the concept or sometimes even what the final piece will be. It always amazes me when I see the final product, may it be in a magazine, brochure, direct mail or when I'm in line at the grocery store.
If you guys have viewed our website you will have seen all the behind-the-scenes images we've captured while working and one in particular really threw me for a loop. The photo was in a gondola rowing boat set up in a parking lot and we were asked to do the hair and make-up for the talent.
A row boat in a parking lot?????
I couldn't have even imagined what the final product would be. But it turned out great. Here's the behind-the-scenes image and the final product. It is truly amazing how they put these things together.

Color, Color, and more Color
Hair & Make-up Beaute Speciale (Ana Rivera) Photography by Diana Zalucky |
Color is key in bringing out the features of the eyes, lips and playing up the entire face. Recently, Beaute Speciale had the opportunity to showcase color and play up the beautiful features of the face in a chic bohemian way.
Some people think Bohemian has to be earthy. But bohemian can be fun, free-flowing beauty with exubrant color. Take a look at one of our most recent shoots. The images speak for themselves. We'd love to hear your feedback as we use the art of make-up and express beauty in new and exciting ways. Stay-tuned for more images and behind the scenes photos!
